At Coe's Bespoke Jewellers we only source ethical diamonds and gemstones. More than just conflict free , all of our gems are mined, cut and polished by adults working with fair pay and conditions, and produced with due care for the environment. We can make this guarantee because we can trace all our diamonds and gemstones back to their mine of origin.
In 2003, the UN adopted a system to end the practice of diamond trading for dubious means. The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme outlines the regulations and requirements countries must follow to make sure a diamond is mined and shipped in a humane, legitimate way. Diamonds that meet these regulations are shipped with a Kimberley Process certificate. When you buy a diamond, the jeweller should be able to provide this certificate - if they can't, you should be wary of the stones origin.
Coe's Bespoke Jewellers includes the GIA Diamond Origin Report to help trace the diamond from its source to its final polished state by uniquely leveraging advanced scientific analysis to deliver technical rough-to-polish diamond matching. GIA collects and analyses physical measurements, spectroscopic data, and imaging of the diamond as a rough crystal before it is cut and polished. A unique identification number is assigned to the rough diamond. GIA later uses this data to scientifically match the polished diamond to the original rough crystal it came from..
